Last week we released what quickly became one of the most watched videos of the year in Part 1 of Josh Schertz's "Inside the Set" Offensive Series detailing how he teaches Split Cuts. Today, in Part 2 with Coach Schertz we dive into Indiana State's "Pistol X" & "Punch X" split action. As was highlighted last week with Coach Schertz's Elbow X, the main distinction between the Pistol X and Punch X is that it prescribes where the ball is entered along with what spacing/floor balance they will start the possession in. Once the ball is entered, Indiana St. can play out of their concepts and find organic solutions,"Organized Randomness" as Coach Schertz terms it.
